Medium SGE 400/3 Gas Mask with 40mm NATO NBC/CBRN Filter & USGI Drop Leg Pouch

The filter currently in the mask can be used to train and filter maybe some smoke (not carbon monoxide). The other filter is sealed at the time of writing this and was made in either 2019 or 2020 so with the 5 year “expiration” (filters tend to fine beyond that time, simply a recommendation just as with armor plates) time it should be fine for another year or 2.
The mask itself is nearly new except for scratches, there are 3 noticeable ones but not as noticeable when wearing it.  My iPhone camera absolutely cannot pick them up although I tried.
The M50 bag is very used but still works great, the elastic on the leg strap is the most worn part, stretched almost to the max and now unable to wrap around the legs of skinny people like me.
My honest review
: I do not like it.  Yes it’s well built and as durable as a brick, but heavier and more cumbersome than the American surplus masks I have. Also you absolutely can’t wear a helmet with it, this is purely for CBRN protection which is why I don’t include “tactical” or “military grade” like other listings of the same item. This is absolutely not for general military use.  What I will say is if you’re looking for a get it and forget it mask, this is great: the plastic construction won’t deform overtime in storage like the rubber of other masks.
